Orange Beach Alabama-Concerts! Concerts! Concerts!

Who’d have ever thought that a family beach resort on the Gulf Coast of Alabama would become an incredible concert venue?

Well, you’re right, Britney and Mariah and Justin don’t perform here – not yet, anyway. But Steppenwolf, ZZ Top, Widespread Panic, The Black Crows and Hank Williams, Jr, did in Summer 2007 at the 10,000 seat Ampitheater at The Wharf in Orange Beach. Breaking Benjamin and Three Days Grace – with opener Seether – will kick off the 2008 concert season on Sunday March 2nd.

At the other end of the spectrum, The Orange Beach Art Center holds more intimate musical events on the third Sunday of most months. These acoustic events are part potluck, part entertainment, with two 60 minute music sets separated by a “munch and mingle” break. A local restaurant provides the main dish and concert goers bring a dish to share. The usual non-alcoholic libations are provided, as well, and you may bring whatever else you’d like to drink.

The Erie Meyer Civic Center, next door in Gulf Shores, offers something in between, with acts like Pam Tillis, Roger Williams, the Les Brown Orchestra and Men of the Deeps (a Coal Miner’s Choir) scheduled for 2008.

For places to stay, Orange Beach vacation rentals are very popular and allow the most flexibility for hosting your own weekend party with friends and family. You’ll also find the usual chain hotels and, hopefully. the town’s only a bed and breakfast will reopen soon after being badly damaged by a hurricane.

Welcome back!

When they go on vacation, people need entertainment and the bands follow the tourists during the vacation season and perform for them. With the announced concerts, I’m sure Orange Beach will be a very cheerful place to spend your vacation.

Pleasant post. I constantly enjoy stuff relating to this. Next time you ought to write even more on this in addition to food or something like that.

It always depends on what you expect from your vacation. It`s totally up to you. If you want a peaceful and quiet vacation just for resting, make sure you choose a proper destination. Otherwise, if you`re in the mood for joy, color and noise, if you care to freshen up your mood, go for one of these event hosting places like the one mentioned above. It`s all the vividness that you need. Can`t expect of getting a ten hour good night sleep at places like hotels on the beach in Hawaii, because that`s where everybody gets groovy.

It is quite an exquisite location. By the time we visited it, we knew very little about the concerts organized here. But even if it was a little noisy, we quite enjoyed it. Beautiful vacation. No complaints upon the locals, the services, the accommodation, the flight, the travel insurance, anything. We strongly recommend this destination to all of you.
